Two-foot high Elliot Falls pours over a rocky ledge on the east side of Miners Beach in Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. A low viewpoint permits framing the falls against the starry north sky. This is a Nikon D4 double exposure. Exposure #1 was focused on the waterfalls using ISO 1600, f/11, 30 seconds, Manual exposure, Sun WB, 14mm. A single Nikon SB-800 was fired twice to light the foreground. Exposure #2 is focused on the stars, no flash, and the shutter speed is 20 seconds, f/2.8, and ISO 1600 to capture the stars.
