17.4.11 Miscellaneous Concerns
All safety devices (e.g., safety shutoff valves, pressure
switches, ame supervision equipment) shall be listed
for the service intended per NFPA 86 (Section 5-2.1).
Safety devices shall be applied and installed with estab-
lished safe practices and manufacturer’s instructions.
When listed devices are not available for the service
intended, the selected device shall require approval by
the authority having jurisdiction.
