15.1 Introduction
This chapter focuses on the soot particle formation of
oxygen and oxygen-enriched air fuel combustion. A
brief description of the advantages of utilizing oxygen
and oxygen-enriched air instead of air for a combus-
tion process is presented. It is currently proved that
the addition of oxygen in the oxidizer stream alters
the ame structure, resulting in essential variations
in soot concentration (soot volume fraction) and in
soot morphology (size and nanostructure). A number
