The purpose of conducting contractor performance evaluations is to provide information for use in source selection. The effort expended in conducting contractor performance evaluations will be in vain if the information obtained is not available in making award decisions. Past performance information must be maintained in such a way that it is accessible to source selection officials when reviewing the qualifications of offerors.
