Chapter 16. Consuming Patterns

In earlier chapters we’ve looked at supporting pattern consumption via the creation of the right patterns, designing and creating patterns according to best practices, packaging patterns to support reuse, and improving consumability with the use of DSLs. As important as it is to build the right patterns in the right ways, value disappears if we fail to follow through and use these important assets. We now need to look at things from the Pattern User’s perspective. This chapter discusses a set of guidelines supporting how an organization can succeed in consuming patterns.
