International peacebuilding is a tremendously complex and varied field of practice, policy, and study. It encompasses, but is not limited to, a wide range of post-conflict situations where international interventions seek to prevent conflict or a relapse into conflict and to create a “sustainable peace.” There seems to be no end to the impressive literature on post-conflict peacebuilding, statebuilding, and reconstruction.
