8. Using SCAMPI with People CMM
8.1 SCAMPI with People CMM Appraisal Method
Beginning in 2008, results from appraisals conducted according to the People CMM-Based Assessment Method [Hefley 98] are no longer accepted by the Software Engineering Institute (SEI), the People CMM Steward. The People CMM team at the SEI is focusing its efforts on the SCAMPI with People CMM appraisals. People CMM appraisals are now being conducted using the Standard CMMI Appraisal Method for Process Improvement (SCAMPI) with People CMM [Wemyss 08]. SCAMPI with People CMM is the only appraisal method supported by the SEI for use with the People CMM.
