lmost all of us who have had a good career have had someone to
help us in some way. Coworkers provided support and resources
for doing our job better. Supervisors showed us new and better ways
of doing our work and provided cover when we needed it most.
Friends and powerful acquaintances provided access to inuential
people and opened doors for us to obtain favorable assignments and
positions. All these people went the extra mile for us and oen over-
looked our aws and emphasized our positive qualities to others.
