5 A metrics ecosystem
One of the reality TV shows that I enjoy is Kitchen Nightmares. In the show, Chef Gordon Ramsay performs an ‘intervention’ in a struggling restaurant. He looks at what’s going wrong and helps them execute a rapid turnaround. There is almost always a consistent theme in each of the failing restaurants. They are using the wrong tools. Whether it is the wrong decor, the wrong recipes, the wrong technology or the wrong staff, it always seems to be the same message. Get the right tool for the right job and things get much easier.
