Throughout this book, we have evaluated various persistence technologies. Up until now, the mechanisms we examined in this book have been standards based or open-source Java solutions—or both. In this chapter, we are going to deviate from this pattern and evaluate pureQuery, a commercial solution from IBM that represents a different approach.
