Rate your negotiation skills

In this chapter you will learn:

  • How to use a self-assessment test to assess your negotiation skills. You will be able to take the test again at the end of the book to see how much you have improved.

Introduction

The score sheet (see Figure 4.1) is based on the chapters in Part 2 of this book, The 11 steps of negotiation. There is an opportunity for you to re-rate yourself after you have read the book and tried some of the skills. If you have not spent time preparing and studying the tools, techniques and tips in this book, it can be difficult to have confidence in a negotiation.
