Setting Up the Portrait
All the preparation and setup for the portrait takes place without actually including your pet. You’ll be picking the right spot, getting the light in the right spot, and setting up the camera before your pet gets to pose. The more preparation you do before taking the actual portrait, the better your chances of success are. While you’re experimenting with the setup, I suggest using a stand-in for your pet, such as a similar-sized stuffed animal.
