Adobe Photoshop is the standard for image-editing on both Mac and Windows systems, and it can do amazing things to images. For these type of shots, however, I really only do three basic adjustments in Photoshop: the first is to make sure that the black background is dark enough, the second is to make sure that the subject is bright enough, and the third is to crop the image.
