An efficient machine is only as fast as the operator using it is. In days gone by, users spent time waiting for their machines to complete tasks. The hardware wasn’t capable of performing even one task quickly, much less three or four. Today, even a low-end machine can perform several tasks quickly. In many cases, the machine waits for the user, not the other way around. To a certain extent, that’s how things should work. However, it also means that some machine resources go to waste. Making the user more efficient without adding stress is an important goal.
