13.1 Introduction
This chapter presents basic concepts on well test analysis of hydraulically fractured wells and naturally fractured reservoirs. Hydraulically fractured wells and naturally fractured reservoirs form a large part of hydrocarbon production capacity around the world. The well test analysis methods presented for these wells and reservoir types emphasize applications of combined straightline and type-curve matching techniques as previously recommended for unfractured wells and reservoirs.
