My goal for this chapter is to get you thinking about how to handle your photos, albums, and frames, and to review the basics of scanning. Although it may sound simple enough, getting photos out of albums and scanning them can be challenging.
I’ve ruined photos, scratched negatives, damaged albums, made my fair share of bad scans, obsessed over quality when I didn’t need to, mistaken one setting for another, left options accidentally on when I didn’t mean to, and not known what scanner settings to use. Learn from my experiences so that you don’t make the same mistakes that I have.
