Having worked as a writer for What Digital Camera magazine for over ten years, this is a subject I should know something about, yet I am loath to be too prescriptive as to which cameras are best. It depends foremost on what kind of photography you wish to do and is also subjective, where preferences at times border more on the theological than on practical analysis.
