One thing you may be questioning at this point could be the reason why we appear to have kept our renders quite so dark throughout this chapter? After all, doesn't V-Ray have lots of tools and options that could have been used to brighten things up just a little? Well the answer to that question would most certainly be yes.

We could, for instance, have altered our camera's exposure settings, or worked with non linearized materials, meaning they would bounce a lot more light around the environment.
