CHAPTER 9Optical Experiments
This chapter provides basic guidelines for a reader to conduct ten experiments covering some fundamentals and applications of photonics. Each experiment’s description includes a basic list of equipment that guides the reader to assemble the laboratory set-up. A reader can modify and build on the described experiments to experience additional photonics fundamentals and applications covered in the book. Each experimental description also includes a relevant foundational photonics section to provide the reader some optics theory guidance for the experiment. The topics covered by the experiments are:
• Laser beams
• Incoherent-light imaging
• Coherent-light focusing
• Coherent-light imaging
• Coherent-light fourier transforms ...
