Focus with an Inner Glow
I've seen all sorts of tricks for focusing the attention of a person viewing an image, but this glow effect (which I saw in a series of Bell South print ads) stopped me dead in my tracks for its ingenious use of an Inner Glow and backscreening. Although I'm showing the effect in the same context that Bell South did, you can use the same technique with different shapes to focus the reader as well.
