CHAPTER FIVE
Photo Editing with Camera Raw
In Chapter 3, we saw how to edit, trash, and rate RAW files in
Adobe Bridge. In this chapter, we will see how Camera Raw can
be used as a viable alternative to photo editing and rating in
Bridge. There are compelling reasons to do this. Not only can
you open multiple images in Camera Raw, but you can also
have analytical tools like the histogram available at a glance
to help you make editing decisions. You can also easily set a
magnification level in Camera Raw that enlarges the entire
image rather than a small portion of the image (i.e., Bridge’s
Loupe tool). You can also synchronize and apply any of your
image settings—including retouching settings—to a batch
of images. And, of course, you can trash images directly from
Camera Raw and rate them as well. Let’s see how.
