USING CAMERA RAW TONE CURVES FOR MORE CONTROL
Useful Keyboard
Commands
Here is a sampling of general keyboard com-
mands you can use to streamline your work
in the Basic and Tone Curve tabs. (I’ve already
mentioned some of them.)
In the Basic tab• , -U (Ctrl-U) applies
auto tone adjustments. The keystroke
-R (Ctrl- R) reverts to Default
settings.
Tab• cycles through the Basic tab Adjust
controls.
• -0 (Ctrl+0) automatically reverts the
preview window to Fit in View. -Op-
tion-0 (Alt -Ctrl-0) reverts the preview
window to show actual pixels (100%).
Down/Up Arrow• keys move the
Basic tab adjust values incrementally.
Shift+Down/Up Arrow keys increase
the incremental values.
Esc• is for when you are totally frus-
trated and want to get out of Camera
Raw as fast as possible. None of your
changes are saved.
In addition to the keyboard key shortcuts,
Camera Raw uses scrubbers, like the one
circled in Figure 7-14. To use scrubbers, place
your cursor over one of the sliders. The cursor
should change to a double-ended arrow such
as the one shown here. If you click and drag
to the left, the numeric entry will decrease;
if you drag to the right, it will increase.
Double-clicking on a slider’s triangle will
revert it to the default setting.
