Presets are preset (or custom) brushes, swatches, gradients, styles, patterns, contours, custom shapes, and tools that come with Photoshop, as well as any that you have created. You can choose individual presets in panels, and you can save, load, replace, or reset to defaults the groups of presets in panels from panel menus. You can use the Preset Manager (see Figure 2.27) to manage groups of individual presets.
To access the Preset Manager, choose EditPreset Manager. Figure 2.28 shows a panel menu from which you can save or load groups of presets.
The following list details some options to help you work with the Preset Manager:
To load a group of presets into the Preset Manager, click the Load button or select a set from the Preset Manager panel menu.
To save a group of presets with the Preset Manager, select multiple individual presets in the main Preset Manager window and click the Save Set button.
To rename an individual preset in the Preset Manager, select the preset in the main Preset Manager window and click Rename.
To delete presets in the Preset Manager, select one or more presets in the main Preset Manager window and click Delete. Selecting and deleting all the presets in a group deletes the group.
