Chapter 4. Making Selections
Photoshop Elements offers many sophisticated options for enhancing and retouching your image—colors, filters, resizing tools, vignettes, and all sorts of special effects. But before you can start tinkering, you’ll need to learn how to make selections. Once you’ve selected a specific area of an image, you can change its color, copy and paste it into another image, or change its size and rotation.
You can also use selections to create a protective mask for portions of your image. It’s just as easy to select an area of your image and then apply changes to the rest of your image, keeping the selected area unchanged.
