22.6. Summary

This chapter explored some of the ways to make creative, illustrative text effects with layer styles. You learned how to create a wood burn text effect with a few simple text style and a custom created background texture. You saw how the Bevel and Emboss layer style could be used to create dimensional type effects. You also learned about combining several layer styles on multiple layers to create flaming type. Further examples of text effects were created using the various glow layer styles. Finally, you learned how to load additional pattern presets for use with the Pattern Overlay layer style.
