It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

This chapter provided you with an overview of some of the advanced features geared toward the segment of Photoshop users who work in medical, technical, and scientific fields. You learned about the DICOM medical imaging format and how to work with these images in Photoshop.
You also learned about MATLAB and how this computing environment can be used to "drive" Photoshop to produce images and analyze pixels. Finally, you learned about the enhanced measurement tools that Photoshop provides for use with technical imagery.
