Summary

In this chapter, we have looked at allowing our users to invite friends and contacts to participate in the site and connect with them. If their friends are already members of the site, we inform them of this so that they can connect, instead of sending an unnecessary e-mail to the user. We also looked at listing and performing basic searches in our user list, so that users can see other users, to enable them to connect with one another. To facilitate their connections, we set up a number of types of connection, and enabled users to connect to one another, forming online relationships.
