The XDebug extension comes with the XAMPP bundle, by default. You just have to enable it from the loaded .ini file. Note that there could be multiple php.ini files present, and the file location can be different between different operating systems. So, let's try it...

  1. Locate the loaded php.ini file from your phpinfo(), by pointing your browser to http://localhost/xampp/phpinfo.php.

    You can see the loaded php.ini file located at D:\xampp\php\php.ini.

  2. Open the php.ini file located at D:\xampp\php\php.ini, and find the following line:
