Time for action — reverting changes of the working tree

To revert the changes, go through the following steps:

  1. From the previous section, the Diff window of the modified README file provides a reverting, modification facility. Also, the Git window provides buttons for reverting modifications.
  2. Right-click on the README file, and select Git | Revert | Revert Modifications from the context menu, or click on the Revert Modifications button from the Diff window. A dialog box similar to the following one opens:
    Time for action — reverting changes of the working tree
  3. Specify additional options (for example Revert only Uncomited Changes in Index to HEAD).
  4. Click on Revert.
