- ULP strike
A strike called by a union that alleges, correctly or incorrectly, that the employer has committed an unfair labor practice during contract negotiations. Employers cannot hire permanent strike replacements during a ULP strike, and the striking workers must be returned to their original positions once the strike is over.
- undue hardship
A hardship created by a requested accommodation that creates significant difficulty (enough to disrupt business operations), results in a significant financial outlay, or changes something about the (essential) nature of the business.
