7.3. Dispute Resolution
Most employment disputes are resolved within the organization, but on some occasions that is not possible. In the worst case, employment disputes are resolved in court—a very long and expensive process for all parties. Alternative dispute resolution (ADR) covers a range of methods used to solve disagreements without litigation. These alternatives are often able to resolve problems with less animosity than occurs when a lawsuit is filed, and at far less cost to the parties.
