Talent Planning and Acquisition

In Chapter 5, we stressed the importance of the Talent Planning and Acquisition function for the Professional in Human Resources (PHR) exam. The importance of this function does not change for the senior human resource professional. Talent planning and acquisition lays the groundwork for the other human resource topics we discuss in this book. Material from Chapter 5 will likely be included on the SPHR exam, so it should be considered a complement to this chapter. Talent planning and acquisition makes up 16 percent of the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) exam.
