I have a question for you:
Out of all of your customers – including the small and medium-sized ones – what percent would you guess you haven't talked with in three months or more?
In my experience with clients, this number is easily more than half and often approaches 80%.
That's upward of 8 out of 10 customers who simply haven't heard from their salesperson in over three months.
Amazingly, during this time, these people have still made their repeat purchases, operating on autopilot.
ABOUT THIS GROUP OF CUSTOMERS
Like nearly all of your customers who are quiet, these customers are quite happy, which is why they've been with you for years, returning without fail for the products that they've always bought from you.
Like you, they're very busy.
Like you, they're constantly servicing their customers.
And, just as you get calls from customers who have problems, those customers also call the suppliers they are having problems with, but you are not one of them.
So, they're good.
They're happy with you and your work.
Which is exactly why you must reach out.
