Special Advice for WordPress Bloggers
If you have a self-hosted WordPress website or blog, you’re in luck. There are some great Pinterest tools for WordPress that you can use to make your site even more pin-friendly.
Pinterest RSS Widget
You can feature thumbnail images of your recent pins in your website sidebar by using a Pinterest RSS widget. Each thumbnail is a direct link to that pin’s URL, which can help you get more followers and get your website users to engage with you on Pinterest. And it’s a cool visual addition to your WordPress site, as well. You can get the RSS widget for your website by installing this WordPress plugin, as shown in Figure 7.2 (www.wordpress.org/extend/plugins/pinterest-rss-widget).
“Pin It!” Button
As a WordPress site owner, you also have a quick and easy way to add a “Pin It!” button to the footer of each of your blog posts (Figure 7.3). This button allows your readers to quickly and easily share your content on Pinterest. There are two options for “Pin It!” button plugins:
