The Director’s Responsibility for Working Effectively with Design
This is the first of this book’s chapters dealing with design. (Although what you are learning about groundplans ultimately relates to design in an important way, this is the first of the chapters to take up design specifically.) In all, there are seven chapters in the book devoted to design and the director, with Chapters 17–21 and 30–31 coming along at different points in the process to allow you to think about, absorb, and ultimately synthesize the various parts of the director’s function in the design aspect of play production.
