Syndication products for Plone

The standard syndication format of Plone is RSS 1.0 that uses XML and RDF for feeding the data. As indicated earlier in this chapter, there are other incompatible formats and the richer Atom format ASF. For the syndication of multimedia content, the templates Plone provides are not sufficient. They were developed mainly for textual content. If we want to provide different formats or extend the existing one, we have two options.
