Lens Flares
Where would we be without the lens flare? Probably one of the hardest things to focus on and study, a lens flare will quickly come and go, generated by fractions of light. A properly placed lens flare can generate a feeling of depth and realism. Sci-fi movies and shows such as Star Wars and Battlestar Galactica rely heavily on lens flares, often used as a surrounding for planets and when a spaceship flies by, for a look and feel of being in space where light is precious.
