PROJECT MANAGEMENT PROCESSES

Management processes are grouped into five categories known as project management process groups (or process groups):

  1. Initiating
  2. Planning
  3. Executing
  4. Monitoring and controlling
  5. Closing

We will now define these five process groups, which will be elaborated upon later in this chapter Figure 3.1 (a) shows the relationship between the process groups and the feedback and process loops among them.
