To ensure that stakeholders continue to support a project, or at least not oppose it, it is essential that they are communicated with regularly about the project status. This domain task is focused on communicating the status of the project to stakeholders based on what both the communications management plan and stakeholder management plan outline. The goal is to ensure that stakeholder engagement with the project is kept high, and that information flows freely and appropriately to the right stakeholders at the right time about the status of the project.
