So far, we have covered policy engines, their uses, architectures, and their main benefits. In this chapter, we will talk about evaluating Policy as Code (PaC) ecosystems. We will cover cloud-native capabilities and vendors and highlight the main advantages and challenges of each.
More importantly, this chapter will examine the different tools, products, and vendors, all of them with different features and capabilities that need to be weighted and compared to our goals to have an objective approach when selecting them, thus we discuss how to evaluate them in an data-driven approach.
