Software processes help managers stay in control of software development in organizations. One of their functions is to establish a productive distribution of power among the stakeholders, which naturally reflects the priorities of management. It exposes the processes to political behavior because power is always a controversial topic. In general, software processes have a lot to do with power and politics. In this chapter, we have a closer look at the relationship and the role stakeholders play in it.
