Integrazione, rappresentanza e resistenza nell'Italia spagnola (secoli XVI–XVII)
Abstract
This article analyzes various forms of integration, representation, and resistance in early modern Spanish Italy (Duchy of Milan, Kingdoms of Naples, Sicily, and Sardinia), i.e. in the period from the hegemony of the Spanish imperial system to the formation of a multipolar Europe. This is the period of the “Jurisdictional State” in Italy, which is predominantly characterized by the coexistence of collision and collusion between different powers, operating in the same political space and performing the same functions.
