Some commercial polymers, particularly polyolefins, are highly crystalline materials with well-defined morphology consisting of chain-folded lamella joined in supramolecular structures called spherulites. Although single crystals of some polymers such as polyethylene can be grown under laboratory conditions, no bulk polymer is completely crystalline.
