Thermosets

Thermosetting materials, or thermosets, are multifunctional polymers that cure irreversibly upon heating. They are irreplaceable materials for many high-technology applications. After curing (cross-linking), they have excellent chemical and corrosion resistance, good thermal and mechanical stability, and superior electrical behavior. They are used particularly in highperformance structural materials in the aerospace, automotive, and electronic industries.
