ere are some PAs with a wide dynamic linear region (class
AB), but they are generally expensive, consume more power, and
are less efficient (Cooper, 2008; Sharma and Basu, 2010; Varahram
et al., 2010).
Hence, in order to have a high-efficiency OFDM signal and
extended battery life especially in mobile systems, the PAPR of
OFDM signal must be reduced and the linearity of the PA should be
maximized. Many PAPR reduction algorithms have been developed
and are discussed next.
4.3 PAPR Reduction Techniques
Several techniques have been developed to reduce PAPR of the
