7.1 Introduction
In this chapter, the implementation procedure of digital predistortion
as a promising technique for simulation in MATLAB and using Xilinx
blocksets toward compiling a field programmable gate array (FPGA)
board is introduced. All these procedures are done in MATLAB and
also with Integrated Software Environment (ISE) software from Xilinx.
e Xilinx blockset tools are discussed and show the FPGA board from
Xilinx that is used for the implementation. e implementation details
are shown for each part of the predistortion filter that includes a com-
plex multiplier, lookup tables (LUTs), and a complex divider. Each of
