Rigid voltage sources, such as an ideal grid, an output-voltage feedback-controlled converter, and a storage battery, have dominated as input sources for a long time. As a consequence, the scholars and engineers have learned every detail and developed a multitude of power stages and control methods for the voltage domain. A common characteristic of these sources is that their output impedance is low in magnitude at low frequencies.
