There are four ways in which the world’s oceans can provide an energy source for power generation. Marine currents around coastlines, inlets and estuaries can be exploited with underwater turbines. Ocean waves are also a source of energy that can be tapped using a variety of different devices that convert the oscillating motion of waves into a motion that can be used to provide electricity generation.
