6.1 Introduction

There are various types of shunt passive filter configurations such as single- and double-tuned, band pass filters. These filters provide a low impedance branch to trap the harmonic orders that the filter is tuned to mitigate. Theoretically, these filters have zero impedance at the tuning frequency thus absorbing the harmonic of interest.
