At first, Dali’s words struck me as incredibly sad. How dismal life would be if we never thought that we had a glimmer of hope of achieving perfection. The more I thought about his words, though, the more liberating they became to me. The reality is that we can’t reach perfection. We can only do the best we can, and that is enough.
